Minimum Qualifications
Ability to provide instructions and maintain records, generally acquired through a partial high school education.
Work requires two years of cleaning or related experience necessary to obtain knowledge of scope of housekeeping unit operations, or 2 years as a lead worker or acting as supervisor. Familiar with accepted supervisory and personnel practices and standards. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

What You’ll Do:
- Conduct inspections, monitor performance, and maintain records, equipment, and supplies.
- Establish and maintain housekeeping schedules and make work assignments across assigned service areas.
- Conduct comprehensive inspections to ensure completion of work assignments.
- Ensure assignments are properly staffed and that employees have adequate supplies and equipment.
- Monitor employee performance, determine when disciplinary action is appropriate, and ensure proper training of new and existing personnel.
- Discuss general housekeeping procedures with personnel in assigned areas.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described for this classification.

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $18.00 to USD $26.67.
